Okay, please choose on your Win 10 machine an album from the library, try to tag it and send me the log file.

I have no issues using it with 1910/1914, although it fails to match tracks in 99% of cases. Art is matched perfectly

Do you have track numbers in your Poison album ?
Yes, correct Track numbers are Shown in picture. That Album is CD rip and only thing that was missing, was Album art. Here is back cover of CD Box.

Looks like the numbering issue is not fixed like it as ith normal tagger eg. I guess you should first Zero Pad -> Sort and then try to retag.

From what I see original track # are 1,2,3,... and found ones are 01,02,03,... so results are not associated to right tracks. See this image:

Hi Peke,

thank you for reporting the bug ! My music files are all with leading zero in the track number, so i would never see the wrong sorting.

Just released a new version. :)

Hi,

I've just attempted to download this addon, but it gets flagged and blocked by my AV (Emsisoft Anti-Malware, version:2020.10.0.10440) which says it has identified "Malware Trojan.GenericKD.44127208 (B)". I have previously downloaded and installed Discogs Tagger 5.77 (Updated: 2020-10-01) without any issues.

I know I could just disable my AV until I have completed and installed Discogs Batch Tagger 2.56 (Updated: 2020-10-10), but was not sure if you were aware of this issue, or whether or not this gets flagged by any other AV software?

Emsisoft report:

Likely false positive, antivirus can be trigger happy when it comes to scripts, you'll probably find this reported a few times in this thread and it turned out to be false.

Yeah, that's what I thought it would turn out to be.

Still, best to check and be safe rather sorry!

Hi,
Usually reports like "GenericKD" are an result of Heuristic analysis signature checks, that often result in false positive.

I remember once that I made small simple app (for internal use in testing) that generated small HASH from System Info like CPU+RAM SIZE+Workstation name and it was flagged as Generic trojan so I allowed to be sent as sample app. Thought it was enough when after few days i compiled app again and then Got High risk of app containing Trojan/keygen. Reported FAlse positive again, Few days later no issues found.

Hi Peke

Thanks for the additional information.

I reported as false positive to Emsisoft, I'll check again in a few days and resubmit if required.

Cheers

Grabbed tracks from 6 albums and it looks like Batch tagger wanted to mix and match tracks from the albums selected. For example, it was going to change track 5 of the first album to track 5 of one of the other albums selected.

Scary!

Could you please post or send me the logfile? You can find it here: c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\mediamonkey\scripts\Discogs_Batch_Script.log

Thank you!

We found the reason. After starting the Script a window appear, where you can set the mode.

If you choose „Album“ = All selected songs belonging to one album <- WRONG
If you choose „Batch“ = Check all the selected albums <- RIGHT

Move the mouse cursor over one of the options, you will see a tooltip with a short description.

I don't see an 'Add to Collection' option in the Batch Tagger interface.

Apologies if this has been covered prior, but could help me populate my Discogs collection
since they don't seem to support Inventory uploading any more.

Any help?
