Good, you made the settings.
Stupid question: did you also do point 3) with an internet connection?

No. However I am always connected to the Internet.
My understanding is that if check box "check for updates (when connected)" and the second check box "include beta builds" are sufficient to automatically ask for updates including beta builds. And if updates are available a message is displayed: "updates are available"

Item 3 is an additional possibility to ask for updates.

Hmm, that's your philosophy.
Maybe the developers should create a CheckBox in the "General" options:
Search AUTOMATIC or MANUAL

(AUTOMATICALLY at every MM program start. )
(But somehow it's also annoying if you don't do the update immediately. )

Hi, watching the implementation in our code the automactic check is performed only when it is more than a week since the last check ('LastVersionCheck' value in the MediaMonkey.ini)

Hello Ludek,

you mean every user looks at your .ini and tries to read and understand it?

Alright, does that mean now:
MM checks for updates once a week without me having to ask "Check for updates" via the "Help" menu?

It means that MediaMonkey will do an automatic update check one week after the last update check was done.

Mir wird zwar angezeigt, dass ein Update vorhanden ist, aber nur die Debug Version. Bisher wurden immer zwei Versionen angeboten.

Early in the beta process there will often only be a debug version available for testing.

Das heißt dann, dass ich die nächste Zeit keine Updates erhalte? Weil nur ein Debug Update angeboten wird.
Ab wann kann man dann wieder mit "normalen" Updates rechnen?

You're talking about betas, which are released for testing purposes, full releases always get a regular build. You should not update to betas if you just want an update.

Auto update notifications still not working for me on Windows 11 64bit -
I didn't get one for 5.0.2.2532.
My auto-update notification settings are set correctly.
