Ibasso playlist tutorial

Post by Sat32blk »

I recently got a ibasso DX-120 player and after struggling for week trying to transfer a playlist from MM5 and not finding any solutions online. So finally figuring it out I thought I'd share with a quick badly written tutorial I did this with the DX-120 but I believe it would apply to all ibasso players using the mangoOS.

1. Create playlist on player "only needs to be at least one song"
2. Export the playlist you created "will be in the M3U folder"
3. Settings to change on MM under device > Sync Profile > Playlists: check (use Linux folder separators) & (UTF-encoding)
everything else can be left at default.
4. Sync your music and playlists to the player.
5. Browse your player with folder explorer, Open the M3U folder created when you exported the playlist in step 1 and the playlist
folder created by MM
6. Make a copy of the playlist you created in the M3U folder and rename it to what ever you want "no spaces in name"
"Best Playlist" needs to be "Best_Playlist"
7. Open your copied playlist and the mm playlist with notepad+, Check the path on the copied playlist it should be something like
"/mnt/internal_sd/Music/Artist - Album - Title.dsf"
8. Copy the playlist text from MM created playlist to the copied playlist file replacing any text already there
the path in the file should read "/Music/Artist - Album - Title.dsf"
9. Now we need to edit the path text so it matches what was in step 7
In Notepad+ > Search > Replace: In Search Mode Check "Regular Expression"
Find what:= "^/Music/"
Replace:="/mnt/external_sd/Music/"
Replace All
Save the changes.
10. Unplug the usb cable and import the playlist in the player
Note: in you create a large playlist it will take a few minutes to index

Thanks
