MM4 No Longer Recognizes my iPhone 13

Post by Shakadula5153 »

MM4 No Longer Recognizes my iPhone 13. I just did a Parallels update and now MM4 will not recognize my phone. I am running MM4 because MM5 does not work on a iMac running Parallels. From what I understand MM5 is not working on any type of fix for this issue so I am stuck with MM4. Parallels does recognize my iPhone and Mac IOS is not holding it captive. I also tried running MM4 as the Administrator but then that didn't recognize my database or playlists or iPhone.

Just noticed something else; my PROPERTIES is grayed out. What is that about?
Any help would be appreciated.

You likely need an update to the plugin: https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brow ... c-plug-in/

Hi,
Just make sure iPhone is not connected and that you started MM using RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR so that you can install it as main addon and nit just per user.

Hi All,

First, thank you for the help. I don’t know what happened but exiting MM4 and getting back in multiple times somehow fixed my issue. MM4 not only recognized my iPhone, but somehow fixed my synch issue that I have had since getting my iPhone 13. That issue was a playlist of 300 songs would take 90 minutes to synch. Now that same 300 song playlist takes just a few minutes. And I could only synch one playlist at a time. Sometime today I will test synching all 35 playlists at one time like I used to.

I would still like to upgrade to MM5 but that is not in the cards now on my iMac with Parallels.

Thanks again.

Another question regarding synching a usb device. I formatted my usb 2.0 128 gig stick as exfat. MM recognized my usb as my F: drive correctly so but does not show up in my device synch dropdown. Should it be formatted as NTSF?

Also The usb plugin from ventis no longer loads to mm4.

Any help would be appreciated as my Granddaughter wants all of my old music for her car.

Well ntsf does not work. An old 4k exfat drive works great. My 128 gig pny exfat is not recognized.

Not sure where to go from here. Gonna reformat and start over.

IPhone Dead in the water AGAIN. IPhone 13 with ios 16.1. Parallels 18. When I plug in my phone MM4 recognizes it but I get a message indicating that it will read but not write so my phone no longer synchs. I installed iTunes and extracted the apple mobile device msi from the iTunes install file but that didn’t work either. I could not find a cab file.

Please, I need ideas.

The iPhone/iPod firmware is not compatible with this version of MediaMonkey.
