I found a couple threads with people trying to get rid of the OSD altogether, like this one: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=99043
And that works. But what I'm wondering, is how can I get the OSD to show the artwork? All of my artwork is saved to separate files, albumart.png or whatever. Does it only work with artwork that is tagged? And if that's the case, would it be possible to support external artwork?
I'm using a really neat Wallpaper Engine wallpaper with media integration for my computer, but it pulls the background art from the same place that the OSD pulls from. So it works for YT videos and other things with audio playing, but it doesn't work for MM.

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey and Windows and does MediaMonkey itself show the Artwork for the playing file? Also when you hover over the taskbar does it show the Artwork?

Build 5.0.4.2692, and yes to both. It shows artwork or a thumbnail for videos on Firefox, so I know the OSD itself works.

Hi,
I created bug https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=20247 for tackling with issue.
You can read at bug that even MS WMP behave worse than MM and do not show anything and actual Windows Media Player (Groove) do not show AA but default player Image.
I have not tested on Win 11 and I am not sure that OSD there is handled same as on Win 10.
Thank you for reporting.
NOTE: that MM have own Popup to show info and can be configured at Tools -> Options -> Player

Awesome, thanks for putting that on the to-do list. Though, now that you mention it, I actually haven't seen the MM Popup in a while. I have it enabled, for 3 seconds, .5 second fade, and no transparency, but I actually haven't seen it pop up in a bit. Where is it supposed to appear?
Re: Windows OSD shows everything except artwork [#20247]
Bottom right of the screen above the taskbar by default, but that can be configured.

Hi,
What happens when you Move Horizontal and Vertical Bars and Transparency all to the right? It should show PopUp position.

Woah, there it is! I haven't seen it in a while. I had to uncheck, apply, then recheck the "only display when inactive" box. Now it's popping up. And it does indeed show the artwork in that popup.
Thanks, you guys rock.
