Hi - I would like to sort my Albums grid view by Artist but the only options in the 'Sort by' dropdown list are 'Album', 'Date', and 'Album Artist'.
Is it possible to sort by 'Artist'?
Can the 'Sort by' dropdown list be customised?
Thanks
Sort grid view by Artist?

Re: Sort grid view by Artist?
Grid sorting is limited as it is designed to not split up Albums. The values available are designed to be the same value for all files on the Album. Artist isn't as it's designed to have the track value, not the Album value (Album Artist does that).

Re: Sort grid view by Artist?
Ah OK, makes sense.
You see, I use 'Artist' and 'Album Artist' differently - I use 'Artist' as the main performer, under which I categorise all their work, and I use 'Album Artist' for the person or band that the album is credited to.
For example, all of Amanda Palmer's music has 'Amanda Palmer' as the artist, irrespective of whether the album or track is credited to 'Amanda Plamer', 'Amanda Palmer And The Grand Theft Orchestra', 'Amanda Palmer and Jherek Bhiskoff', 'Evelyn Evelyn', 'Jack and Amanda Palmer', or whatever. They're all by Amanda Palmer to me.
No matter, I'll find another way to deal with it
Thanks.
