I accidentally ended up with a large number of imported playlists, which I would like to delete.
It seems I can only delete them one at a time.
Is there, or could there be some way to multi-select them ?
Also, is there, or could there be, a way to import a single specific playlist or a few at a time as opposed to a full add/rescan which picks up every playlist in the scanned folders?

Re: Select mutiple playlists for deletion
In the Filelisting you can view Playlists List (Playlist) or Grid (Playlist) elements which allow multi-select (ctrl+click for first, then ctrl+click or shift+click to select additional).
You can select as few or as many Folders as you wish to be scanned.

Re: Select mutiple playlists for deletion
Thank you, the multi-select works fine. One just has to know to press crtl-click on the first one. Another well-hidden feature!!!
Now as to the importing of playlists, I still think rather than messing with my rescan settings, it would be really useful to be able to directly import a playlist file or several.
And of course try to add the ability to export and re-import my autoplaylists.
This all came to the fore when I was trying to set up MM5 and all my music on a new PC.
Useful for anyone trying to keep more than one PC updated.

You can move (copy) the database to a new setup.
Add/Rescan Files can select individual Playlist files to be scanned.

Re: Select mutiple playlists for deletion
OK, but to do that I must first remove my normal folders from the add-rescan, add in the specific location, and then put the original folders back later along with their settings when I am finished.
Do you not agree it would be nice to just right-click, import playlist when I am in the playlist node??

Re: Select mutiple playlists for deletion
That will always be an issue if you want something specific scanned. However there is this bug open that may provide a solution: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=20175

Select mutiple playlists for deletion
This thing read my mind!!!
I was going to post this as a feature request, and upon clicking once in the subject field, it was pre-filled as above
So I searched for such existing header, but could not find it, so posted anyway.

Hi,
If your root playlist node is set as Grid and View elements "Grid (Playlists)" is selected then you should be able to Select Multiple Playlists for deletion in main track browser.

Hi,
What do you mean by Folder panel? I am able to select them at least by using top right corner of icon.

Re: Select mutiple playlists for deletion
What I meant was the equivalent of the "Media Tree" in Windows file explorer, where it works the same way. I called it the folder pane, aka navigation pane.
What got me going was trying to delete excess imported playlists by muti-selecting them right in the MM media tree, which does not work.
It makes sense that way it works, that you need to display them in the main window to be able to multi-select them.
I just keep missing that.
