Hello everyone.
I'm using MediaMonkey version 5.04 2693.
The taskbar button displays the "ARTIST" tag, which doesn't suit me: I'd rather display the "TITLE" tag.
I've looked in the MediaMonkey help (keywords: customising, customizing, MediaMonkey) and on the Internet (keywords: Mediamonkey, customize, customise, button, taskbar , Windows tray). But I couldn't find anything.
Is there a way to change this display?
Thank you in advance for explaining what is surely an obvious problem.

This is not customizable, it shows Artist - Title.

Thank you Lowlander.
But allow me to regret this impossibility, which I feared in advance.
I suppose that MediaMonlkey is used by fans of so-called "classical" music, for whom the name of the work listened to is more significant than the name of the performers... even if the said fan owns several versions of the same work.
Perhaps could you suggest this improvement to your programmer friends?
Thanks in any case.

You want to show less information?AndréBlanquer wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 7:26 am I suppose that MediaMonlkey is used by fans of so-called "classical" music, for whom the name of the work listened to is more significant than the name of the performers... even if the said fan owns several versions of the same work.
Are you talking about this taskbar location?

I have a lot of Artists, with song titles exactly the same as other Artist with different Artist Name. For that reason i want/need the artist infront of it. Diffrent version of same work i name in title between (), that way you can still see it.
However i would also please me if it would be adjustable, because i would like the realased year displayed at the end.

Re: Taskbar button: customise
Hello CrashMonkey,
If I understand you correctly (I might have some difficulty, as my native language is French, sorry for any confusion), it's not that.
What I would like to customize is the small button that MM displays in the taskbar.
This doesn't seem possible at the moment. Perhaps in a future version?
Best regards,
André Blanque

Re: Taskbar button: customise
There is no way to allow customization of those buttons, it is controlled by the Windows and we can only assign allowed commands, not change its function. MediaMonkey is registered as Media Player, so only dedicated features are allowed. We only wished that it was custom so that we can influence it much. Unfortunately it can't be made without creating completely new and different application.AndréBlanquer wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 7:06 pm What I would like to customize is the small button that MM displays in the taskbar.
