Android Auto

When I use Media Monkey in my car and Android Auto makes an announcement about a turn, the track continues, albeit at a lower volume. I'd like it to pause so that for recordings with speech I don't miss anything. There are options to do this in other meadi players but I haven't found any setting for this.
