Album Artist for compilations not displaying correctly

Several albums treat the album artist by the name of one artist credited on a track, rather than the album artist specified in the metadata. I'm on Linux, so I can't use MM5 to edit metadata, so I tried using Kid3 to tag each song as Compilation=1, but there's no change.

Album Artist needs to be the same value for all tracks on an Album. In case of multi-Artist Albums it can be a value such as Various Artist, Various or VA. If the Album belongs to a single Artist, you'd use that as Album Artist, while Artist can include the featured Artists.

I have, for instance, four songs from the first Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack. All of them are tagged with their own Artist but with "Hollywood Records" as the Album Artist, and the issue is present.

Unfortunately as you don't Sync from MMW to MMA you're relying on Android Media Scanner instead to pick up tags. This is presumably not picking up Album Artist correctly.

That's a part of Android. We're hoping to implement our own tag scanner in MMA in the future so that this works more reliable.
