DB / Tag Mismatches
When i have 1 mp3 file from a complete album, and the tracks are not split up in seperate files, but are splitup by start and stop time.
How do i deal with them in the DB / Tag Mismatches overview?
As all of those seperate tracks point to the same mp3 file? And there listed in the overview as a mismatch.
And is it possible to Convert them to seperate tracks in MediaMonkey? And is this wise to do? How do you deal with that kind of situations

Re: DB / Tag Mismatches
I don't think MM can do this, someone correct me if I missed it.
Some years back, when I was converting some of my tapes and vinyl to mp3s I used a free program called Audacity, and it was able to split the recorded album into tracks with some manual effort. I would use the dead air spaces between the track to highlight the segments and export them as named tracks.
I don't know if there is anything that fully automates this process. The link below describes how current Audacity suggest to do it...

Re: DB / Tag Mismatches
One other question, i tried right clicking properties of DB / Tag mismatches, but then i only see a gray overview and locking up the interface. Is that happening at your end as well? https://imgur.com/Y8kxqUT

Re: DB / Tag Mismatches
If you look bottom left (status line) you will see something going on called "xx/xxx files processed...
When this completes the properties window will come up, however, it refers to the properties of the displayed file set, or whatever files you might select.

Re: DB / Tag Mismatches
Just wanted to see if there where some settings i could do there.
Will have to wait a few hours before the window popups i guess, as i don't want it to start over.

Re: DB / Tag Mismatches
Files to Edit nodes like DB / Tag Mismatches are mere suggestions of files that may need further attention. In the case of CUE sheets the tags don't match the actual file tags, thus they're shown, but they don't actually need further attention.

That might be a bit of an issue for you then, because each time you open this node, it starts over from scratch.v3070.

Re: DB / Tag Mismatches
Popup came at the end of the scan.
A other question;
Does the file not supose to disapear in the list after you update the tag?
Got 6281 files in the list, and would be handy if they disapear after i checked a few, and updated there tags.
Then continue the list and check and update a few more. However if i would scroll back up, all the items i have done are still marked yellow as mismatches.
I do understand i would have to reload the list, but as that takes over 4hours, that would not be really handy to do.

Re: DB / Tag Mismatches
No, it would require re-analyzing to verify there are no mismatches in the file anymore.
Tip. You can save the files to a Playlist, edit and delete from the Playlist as you go along and then later on run DB / Tag Mismatches again to confirm.

Re: DB / Tag Mismatches
After doing db/tag mismatches 2 days in a row, and re-running the process to find db/tag mismatches in those nights, i think, the following 3 fields are misrepresented as incorrect tags, still light up as yellow. Disk # , Track # and Comment.
- Have checked the files in foobar2000, and the correct Disk, and Track number and comments are represented inside the tags of the mp3 file. So there is no mismatch in the tags and db anymore.
- Also verified that the file was changed when looking in windows explorer at the Date Modified field. So i know that i really did the tag update.
- The items that i checked did not have a .cue file.
What i did to update the tags was, select the items that had db/tag mismatch marked as yellow, and then i right clicked to get the menu, and then used the top in the list item. "Update tags..."
I am i missing something? Or does this also need a bit of tweaking?
