can't grab the top bar to drag program back to other screen [#21252] [#21313]
Since i have this new computer on Windows 11 i noticed a problem i never noticed before. when i drag the program to the smaller 1080p monitor the top bar has nothing empty to grab to drag it back to the other monitor. I just updated to the newest beta build debug version. it's been a problem for 6 months since i noticed it. I'm using the Material Design skin. I'm using a custom color . where you use that website to get the colors you want for the skin then edit the skin to change the colors and save it as another skin. The only way i can move it back to the other screen is tedious but th e right click in the taskbar and click "move" and use the arrow keys to slide it to the other screen. shouldn't be this difficult. I'm using the same monitors i've been using since 2020. same setup different computer tower.
Btw i just tested the program after updating it and i'm stuck in the smaller screen. nothing to grab onto do drag it back. i would have to close all the tabs to have something to hold onto. not desirable.

Tip: Windows+Shift+Left/Right Arrow keys to move an application to a different screen when it's active.
Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using and do you have lots of tabs open?

Re: can't grab the top bar to drag program back to other screen
you must have missed that part where i said i have to use the arrow keys to move it back to the other screen. but you gave me another way to do it. I do the right click on the thumbnail at the taskbar to get to the menus to "move" arrows.
I'm using the newest build in this forum. 3061
Yes i have 4 tabs open.
don't know if it matters but i use Peace Equalizer for the global EQ for the computer. but that shouldn't have anything to do with it. somehow windows is controlling the programs playing and pausing the playback till the screen comes back on. because it did it on Youtube music and media monkey. one bluetooth earbuds and the other is the wired computer speakers. so that rules out Bluetooth having a setting doing that. the wired speakers has the same issue.

No, I did not miss that, the method I suggest is easier to use.
If you close all but one tabs, does the problem go away?

Re: can't grab the top bar to drag program back to other screen
oh ok. thanks for the tip.
I haven't tried it because i don't really want to have to reopen them again.
Have you been able to repeat that issue? do you have the same skin? My bigger monitor spreads pretty wide so i have a place in between the tabs, to grab and move with, and the buttons to the right of the tabs.

Almost all application supports Alt+space+m to allow dragging the window, but just noticed MM does not support this.
I am using MediaMonkey on my Retro Systems, using the latest Beta build on Windows 11. Managing ~53k files

just checking in to see if this issue is going to be worked on soon or when.
Re: can't grab the top bar to drag program back to other screen [#21252]
Work is planned on this post 2024.0 (i.e. after we complete the current release cycle). We're not considering it critical since there's an easy workaround of widening the window.

Re: can't grab the top bar to drag program back to other screen [#21252]
thanks for the reply . it's annoying to deal with and means i can't move it to the other screen and move it back easily. However I usually keep it on the bigger screen to fit more in.
Re: can't grab the top bar to drag program back to other screen [#21252]
I just reread this thread, and realized that aside from the suggested improvements that MMW must always be draggable/moveable as described in #21252, you might have been experiencing a different bug in which the titlebar doesn't register click-drag attempts _even when it's wide enough to be dragged_ .
That was a bug specifically related to multi-monitor environments that should be resolved in builds 3066+ (though there are further improvements to multi-monitor handling in 3069+).

One option could be, to make it also draggable on this spot, that is an unused spot between help and the tabs.
