Add/Rescan files to the library broken in latest beta
Very simply, it doesn't see files in the designated folder any more.
Re: Add/Rescan files to the library broken in latest beta
Can you please explain what you mean with doesn't see files in the designated folder any more?
Are you sure files aren't in the Entire Library? It's working for me. Also see: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... y-library/

Also, fyi, in the release candidate, if you're in a particular folder and initiate a scan, the folder is added to the scan list, but not checked off. You have to check it.
Perhaps you didn't check it?

Okay, maybe I'm missing something here. This worked in build 3051 but no longer in 3057.
I right-click on the folder I want to scan, I see my folder in the list of folders to scan, I click "scan now", and none of the files in the folder I selected are scanned.
What else can I try?

Is it enable to be scanned? You probably need to actually enable it in the Add/Rescan Files dialog.

Tried it, and you need to hit the checkbox mark infront of the selected line in the Dialog. Just under the column Location.djasonpenney wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 9:03 pm I right-click on the folder I want to scan, I see my folder in the list of folders to scan, I click "scan now
And there have been some changes to this progress. I think: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19080
I think OP is right. That when you add a folder, to "Add/Rescan files to Library" Dialog, from the Main GUI, trough the Righ Click menu add "Add/Rescan files to Library... Insert" that the checkbox should actually be automaticly selected to be scanned. As the user action was from menu to scan that folder.
I am using MediaMonkey on my Retro Systems, using the latest Beta build on Windows 11. Managing ~54k files

Bingo! If you click the check-box twice (once to unselect and then to select it again), the scan works.

djjasonpenney,
Are you using build 3082? There was a bug along the lines you've described in earlier beta builds that had been fixed. For me, in build 3082, right clicking on a folder and initiating a scan (whether via the Music > Locations nodes or Folders nodes) works as expected.
If you're still able to replicate with build 3082, can you share a video or describe the exact steps?
Thanks!
