VERY SLOW iPhone sync

Hi I'm a very recent iTunes-to-Media Monkey convert (I just paid for my lifetime subscription because I was so irritated at iTunes and liked the flexibility of MM). But I just cleared my iPhone 16 Pro Max of my first MM sync (I had included some stuff I didn't want to yet), but now it's taking FOREVER to sync again. MM and iOS are both up to date, I've uninstalled and reinstalled MM on my PC, I've deleted and reinstalled Apple Music from my iPhone and powercycled it, and yet right now it's been 10 minutes and it's only copied 250 songs (update: 90 min and I'm at 1300 songs), which is super weird because earlier tonight I loaded 9000 songs in what felt like less than an hour. What the heck is going on and how do I fix it? Cuz this is almost unmanageable. Thanks
