[REQ] Open File Location Context Menu Option

Post by ptarver »

I'm constantly needing to tweak mp3 files with Audacity (trimming silence at the beginning, adding studio fade outs or changing the amplification) and there is one feature that would be a great help. It would be awesome to be able to right-click on any track in my collection and then click 'Open File Location...' so Windows file explorer would open in the folder where the mp3 file is stored. I can then right-click on the file itself and open it in Audacity.

Thanks!

It sounds like you're using MediaMonkey for Windows, instead of MediaMonkey for Android. If so, right click, Find more from Same > Folder (Explorer) already does this.

That actually worked perfectly! I never dreamed that would be under Find More...

This is an awesome tip that perhaps others will see and use! Thanks!

What is the difference between Folder (Library), Folder (All) and Folder (Explorer)?

Try them out to see, Library will look within the MediaMonkey Library, All will look in Folders in MediaMonkey and Explorer will open the folder in File Explorer.

I couldn't see the difference between the MM choices! Thanks. I use Explorer all the time (especially when I have duplicates)!
