Hi. just wanted to share my experiences with this program. I was able to successfully sync ratings to my Sansa Fuze v2 player with latest rockbox/original firmware. haven't tried playcounts yet. My songs are stored on an 16GB mSD card.

I have my Sansa+ connected, and it gives me a "range error" when I try to read the ratings..
What can this be?

Sorry, SansaMonkey was never made for the Fuze.
I tried it several times, but always failed.
But you could use Rockbox.

				Hi....
i just recently started to use MM and recently installed rockbox onto my sansa e280 v1
from the comment above.....is that saying that MM can sync ratings with Rockbox without the use of sansamonkey?
i can't seem to make that happen without sansa monkey. If it is possible to automatcially sync ratings, that of course would be prefered.
thanks!

MM synced my ratings to my sansa fuze v2 if the ratings are embedded into the tags. The only limitation is that it has to be on the internal memory and not a mSD

Hey, is there support for Sansa Clip V2? I tried sansamonkey with and without rockbox. It functions with rockbox, but I dont want to use rockbox. So is there a possibility to export ratings from sansa clip v2 with sansamonkey?

				Not at the moment.
I don't have a Clip so I can't test and implement it. And it's also a question if it's actually possible.

				ok.
so i have to use rockbox, but where I can find the option for ratings?
I already rate my songs in normal mode. so if I sync it with sansa(rockbox), it will show me "316 files, 0 ratings". what is the problem?

I don't know what you are meaning.
You copy your Music Files over to the device, then you launch rockbox, create the database, reconnect the device with the PC (best with original firmware) and then you can sync the ratings from MediaMonkey to Rockbox with sansamonkey.
Rockbox ignores the ratings you did with mediamonkey itself so sansamonkey is the only way I know.

				Hi there!
I think I found some bugs while testing with
MM 3.2.5.1306/SansyMonkey 0.3.1.5.
Regarding Playcounts:
A) With each sync "MediaMonkey -> Sansa", Playcounts from a certain track within MediaMonkey will be added everytime to the Playcount in the Sansa Rockbox-Database, although checkbox "Reset Play Counter" is checked.
Example:
Track Playcount:
Before Sync: MM:2	Sansa:1
After 1st Sync: MM:2	Sansa:3
After 2nd Sync: MM:2	Sansa:5
The Mouse-over description from this checkbox is "Set the rockbox playcounter to the value stored in MM".
So I assume the behaviour should be:
Track Playcount:
Before Sync: MM:2	Sansa:1
After 1st Sync: MM:2	Sansa:2
After 2nd Sync: MM:2	Sansa:2
I found no difference in behaviour whether this checkbox is checked or not.
B) Sync from "Sansa -> MM":
Playcounts within the Sansa are shown as 0 after sync, even if the checkbox "Reset RB Play Counter to 0 after import" is NOT checked.
("Reset MM Playcounter" is checked)
Example:
Track Playcount:
Before Sync: MM:2	Sansa:10
After 1st Sync: MM:10	Sansa:0
After 2nd Sync: MM:10	Sansa:0
I assume the right PCount (10) is stored on the Sansa, and is just shown false (0) after the sync in SansaMonkey.
So I think this is just a minor bug.
C) This is a feature wish

Would it be possible to add two new colums shown after sync "MM -> Sansa"
"old Playcount" and "new Playcount"
This would be awesome for testing if the playcount sync works as supposed.
@Onkel_Enno: It would be so cool, if you could fix these "bugs" (if they are bugs).
I am more than willing in helping with testing!

I will have a look into it this week and if there are bugs, I will of course fix them.

				@onesong
Indeed there was a small bug but it should be fixed now.
Try it and let me know.

Playcounts (A) seems to be working like a charm now.
Thanks for fixing, onkel_enno!
Small donation is on the way
