Hello MM Forum,

I'm a newbie to MM with an interest in developing what might be a complex add-on. All my development experience is backend, having never touched JS. I was wondering what the process would be hire (i.e., pay a bounty) someone to do the work while we (my wife and I) play the role of "product definition", starting with whether what we are thinking of is even feasible.

This would not be a define-and-go feature. There will be some back and forth, so we can't nail a bounty up front. It's kind of a time-and-materials thing.

So ... my first question is ... what's the best way to engage with the forum on something like this?

Hello Drakinite! I'm hoping you're still here on the forum Is this something you still might do? I've had to continue with MMW4 because Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix is a core feature that I use. This would easily be worth $50 to me, though I'd want that to include the playlist transfer too, as that's really a key use for me.

Apologies for the silence. I've honestly been a little demotivated from doing MM work for a while now. It's still on the table for sure, and I'd like to get back into it, but I can't make any promises. I'll post an update if I do get into it!

No worries. I totally understand and respect your priorities. Thanks for responding and I'll be on the lookout occasionally for updates here. Fingers crossed.

My "Dr. Sols Music Treasure" skin which I have used for many, many years won't work with MM5. There is so much MM information online that I am afraid I simply missed seeing a newer version. Is Dr. Sol still active? I will pay a reasonable
bounty if it can be updated for MM5. No functionality changes are necessary as it is already perfect in MM4.

Looking to finally move from MM4 to MM5 and this is holding me back in organizing a library (mainly the need to keep playlist entries, in addition to ratings).

If it's still on your radar, I'd add a bounty to the mix assuming it's not already covered by https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19087

I’d also find an updated version of External Tools very useful, especially for integrating with non-Explorer file managers.
