[REQ] #recycle bin [#17610 #827]

Currently the only way to add any type of exclude folders is under Tools -> Options -> Library -> Auto-Organize
I would be very glad if it was moved to Add/Rescan Dialog.
I use a Synology NAS which uses a Recycle Bin called #recycle
It makes a lot of troubles as it is to day - please give us a way to deselect this directory!

That only excludes folders from Auto-Organize not scanning.
There is no method to exclude sub-folders from scanning (other than setting them to hidden) for a selected folder. So the recommendation is to not scan the NAS root, but instead have a Music folder with all your music files in it. This will allow you to not include the recycle bin in scanning.

This is a
proposal that has previously been submitted
viewtopic.php?p=478880#p478880,
and a proposal that Pete recorded on 27/2-2021 here:
https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17610
I can not hide the #recycle bin on Synology NAS
My music folder is located here:
https://ibb.co/gR2HnbZ
The only way I currently can solve it is moving all my albums to a folder in a folder - like M:\music or \\NAS\music\music\

Hi,
Strange, I just checked and for QNAP there is Single Share named "Multimedia" and under it there are subfolder Misic/Picture/Video/.... So i do not observe same issue.

Hi Peke,
Sorry I called You Pete.
Can You explain why the proposal is marked "resolved" -
https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17610 ?
I don't see it is resolved - not at all
I am new to MediaMonkey 5 - but the #recycle bin makes at lot of trouble.
