[REQ] Create silence between tracks? [#16938]

Looks like I am not the first person to write about this.
Can you create an option to have space/silence between tracks? And control the length of that silence?

The current experience of a track instantaneously following upon the end of the previous track is unnerving, unnatural, and disturbs the listening experience. In classical pieces, there is more space between the movements, when they are in one track, than MM allows between the individual pieces (tracks). Or, what would would be individual pieces if MM didn't mash them together.

Or, is there a way to control this, that I have been unable to locate?

MediaMonkey 5 has no such setting, in MediaMonkey 4 it could be done via an Addon.

Are you saying no addon exists to do this that will work with mm5 ?

Have to say that I am surprised that MM5 was developed without this function baked in.

Is this now considered an active request?

what is the chance it will be acted on?

And it is finally scheduled for MM 5.0.3 ;)

great. though i have to admit that i had trouble following the discussion, so, am not clear if adding 'some number of seconds between tracks' option is being added to 5.0.3, or just a change to crossfade.

hopefully it is the former.

Actually, both. It is overhaul/tweak of existing with addition to new option.
