Dear Community,

is there a trick or MediaMonkey Plug in to transfer tags (like comments, composer, year ...) from MP3 to FLAC???

I have a huge MP3 collection with all kinds of tags for automated playlists but as my ears are getting more hungry I started to collect mainly FLAC Files.

The name of ALL files is <Interpret> - <Title> .mp3 or .FLAC

Especially important is the "comment" field, here I say eg. Deluxe, Brasil, chill, Masterpiece ... but copying these tags by hand would take years. Or, another loooooong lockdown

Would be grateful if anybody has an idea!

Something to do this in MediaMonkey 5 is in development.

in addition to lowlanders advice: MP3Tag can copy & paste full tags from one MP3 to another; never tried flac, maybe it's worth a try.

Pay attention if the complete Tags are copied, or only the content.
ID3v..-Tags instead of vorbis in flac lead to a agonizingly slow start of a track in MM5 (up to 45sec.)
