Is there an easy way to clear the Now Playing list?

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this. It seems you have to turn off the option to "play now" preserves list. I'd like to just clear the list after creating and adhoc play list. Sorry if this has been answered, but I can't find any messages that mention a way to do this.

What is a "long tap"??
Single tap, double tap ,yes but "long tap"??

When you tap and hold down for a bit it's a long tap. So you'd tap and hold till file becomes selected.
