I've never noticed till recently but when I add lyrics to any song using MMW5 the file properties and the file artwork are no longer visible when viewed in file explorer. I'm using the latest edition 5.0.4.2660 and my OS is Window 7 Pro.
The quirky thing is that if I use version 4 to add the lyrics everything works fine and there's no loss of artwork or file properties when open in file explorer.
Anyone else have this problem?

Interesting. Could you share affected file with me? I.e. file before tagging in MMW5. Please upload it to any file sharing service and PM me link, thanks.

I tried to replicate the issue, but are unable. I am also on v 2660 but am on Windows 10.
How are you triggering MM5 to save the Lyrics?
I tested with flac & mp3 tracks.
I added the lyrics using the Track Properties dbox in MM5, and also via the MM5 Auto-Tag facility.
In all cases the lyrics were written into the file (as verified using Windows Explorer), and this caused no interference with tags and art work, as displayed by Windows Explorer.
This and this is the Windows Explorer info that went missing for you?
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.

Regardless on which method I use to add lyrics the property box disappears along with the album art when viewing the files in explorer. If I use the previous version being 4.1.31.1919 nothing is affected. Perhaps Windows 7 is conflicting somewhere along the code
Re: When adding lyrics, file properties and album arts is removed
MediaMonkey 5 is only tested for Windows 10 and up, this could be the problem. I've not been able to reproduce on MediaMonkey 5.0.4.2661 on Window 10 with MP3.

Hi,
I also tetes on Windows 7 VM and could not replicate.
I wonder if your Windows recreates AA cache file?
For me each supported format shows thumbnail and MM icon in both Win 7 and Win 10.
You can enable/check with Codec tweak tool https://www.free-codecs.com/download/co ... k_tool.htm
