Trying to Connect MM to Subsonic Server

Post by brutefish »

I set up a Subsonic server on my Windows 11 computer. Now I have MediaMonkey on my Pixel 5G. I see the add media server feature but I'm unsure of how to go about creating the XML file needed. I know my ip address and port so the XML part is where I get stuck. I searched Subsonic and see very few posts. Is Subsonic not a good solution for streaming my collection? Any other suggestions? I'm looking at sharing with my family members so that would be users with Androids and iPhones.

Hi,
You should ask in Subsonic Forums how ti access Subsonic DLNA server.

The only thing I have found is http://www.subsonic.org/pages/getting-started.jsp and that DLNA is premium feature http://www.subsonic.org/pages/premium.jsp

I wonder why not instead of subsonic you use MM5 as server.

Are there iOS apps that can connect to MM Server?

Hi,
Search DLNA or UPnP Client apps on Apple store.
