Mediamonkey crashing - "repairing database" [#19682]

Mediamonkey went into repairing database mode on my phone after updating from 1056 to 1057. I can continue to play the current playlist via the widget, but I can't get into the program otherwise. I stopped MMA and cleared the cache, didn't do anything, what can I do?

Did you do a device restart? Does that help?

Hmmm, that should not happen 1056 -> 1057 changed were not that risky, can you check if some of APP permissions changed?

All permissions are allowed. I guess it only helps to delete the data and reconnect to MMW, right?
I also upgraded my tablet directly from 1.4 to 2.0.0.1057 and now have problems too, but different. Should I write them here or better in a separate post?

I guess they are related, so you can add problems here.
If you get into MMA please send manual logs and write down LOG IDs here before you send them so that we can tracks reports.

These errors and problems and logs came from my Samsung Tab S2. It's different problems like with my Oppo phone
1. Log ID: VJKWHQH9DF
2. Log ID: KZSS67BBUC
I had grayed out the playlists before the update, but I was still able to access and play them. Then the update. Now I can't sync the music anymore because I can't select the SD card to sync in the sync dialog. The map is visible under Folders, with all the tracks. If I click a song, it plays briefly and then the app crashes. After restarting, I can play the song normally. If I choose another song, the same thing happens again, crash. Both errors sound like problems with the database to me

On my Oppo phone:
So, I finish the "database repairing" by "force stopping" the app. I give all permissions. Under memory usage I clear the cache and data. Then I open Mediamonkey. I accept the "Welcome" screen. Grant access to the device or local folder. Give access to media and images. Then comes the query for the individual folders, 4 pieces. Before I can press anything here, "Repairing database" comes back

Thanks for all the info!
Can you clarify what you mean when you say that you did the following on your Tab S2/Android 7.0 device:
I had grayed out the playlists before the update, but I was still able to access and play them.
Thanks!

Normal is white writing on a black background. Here the writing was gray on a black background. Until now, this has always indicated that what was displayed, regardless of whether it was a track or a playlist, was not accessible. So also in this case. The music is on the external SD card. This was readable, so I could play the music, but not writable, so MMA had its problems. The problem with the Tab S2 is thus solved.

Only the problem with the database remains in my Oppo device, it has no SD card, only internal storage. I cleared all data and cache. I am prompted to set up a new one. I was able to grant all 4 clearances just because I was fast. If I make the releases slower, I can't even do all 4, as if a timer is running. Then it goes back to setting up with the following picture ..... over.
For a split second I saw the overview of MMA, then came the cancellation. Then it just goes back to database mode. So APP completely uninstalled and delete all files. Reinstalled, same problem.

So, after uninstalling, I manually deleted the Mediamonkey folder in the root directory. After deinstallation, the Storageinfo.xml, mmstore.db and storageinfo.xml.mmw files were still present in the folder. I reinstalled the MMA app. When setting up, I was able to give access rights and the confirmation that can be seen in the picture came. I noticed that after deleting the folder and reinstalling it, MMA is in a different folder, has google changed the structure on Android 12? Mediamonkey was previously in the root folder, now under ///_Android_date/com.ventismedia.android.mediamonkey/ can that be the problem?

Hi,
We've just released build 1059 as a beta on on the Play store (it might take a few hours for it to appear). It should fix this issue. Can you confirm?.
Thanks!

Hi,
unfortunately, I can see now that I removed the fix during testing and did not revert it back. So fix is not included in build 1059 but will be in 2.0.0.1060.
