Can someone please enlighten me about the functions, and maybe pro's and con's, of the various output modules of MM5; e.g. "Mediamonkey Directsound output" (out_MMDS.dll), Mediamonkey WASAPI output (out_WASAPI.dll), waveout_output (out_wave.dll)?
I only use the s/pdif connector on my computer (connected to a fairly capable amp) and thus naïvely thought that 'Waveout_output' would be the best choice, but of late it gave some problems and now I wonder if that's the best choice for me and more generally what these choices mean.

Hi,
Output plugin should not make any difference on Output port on your Motherboard. That is handled in Sound Card Driver.

I prefer WASAPI and DS only when app do not support WASAPI.
