Lifetime gold subscription or not?

Hi I recently purchased the Gold lifetime License ( Dec 2024.... Yay me ), it's now the second week into January 2025 and when I logged in to download my favourite podcasts I'm greeted with a request to download the new version of Media Monkey. I'm now being asked to repay the gold subscription again to download the updates. Is a Gold Lifetime License actually a lifetime of just the life of the current version of the program? AU$186 for the original license was quite a hit and I'm not paying it twice.
