Selective Sync Feature

Selective Sync Feature
I want to sync selected music files (albums) to my Pixel 7 phone while excluding all other files in my library. I don’t want to manually select individual albums or songs. Is there a selective Sync Feature in Media Money Monkey or an option to quickly choose specific albums for syncing? I have MediaMonkey version 2024.0.0.3082.
Re: Selective Sync Feature
Hi,
I am not sure what exactly you want to archive, but from what I understand I think These steps should help you at least partially do what you want.
For WiFi sync (recommended):
1. Create playlist "!!!For Sync"
2. Go to devices and services -> Device you want to setup -> Syncy library to device -> Unselect all -> Click on playlists and on right select only !!!For Sync
3. Normally browse thru your files/albums/genres/.... and when you stumble of something you want to sync
4. Right click on track/... -> Send To -> Playlist -> !!!For Sync
5. Once you are done open MMA on device -> ☰ -> Sync Now
6. Only tracks you put in the list should be synced
After you add more tracks in that playlist then you just do step 5 to sync new files to device.
For USB Sync 1 (Device connected to PC with USB Cable):
5. Go back to summary -> Sync Now
6. Only tracks you put in the list should be synced
For USB Sync 2 (Device connected to PC with USB Cable):
1. Go to devices and services -> Device you want to setup -> Syncy library to device -> Unselect all
2. Normally browse thru your files/albums/genres/.... and when you stumble of something you want to sync
3. Right click on track/... -> Send To -> Sync -> Select Device
4. Only tracks you selected should be synced
I personally Use WiFi Method as I can sync in background over night larger number of tracks.

Re: Selective Sync Feature
Thank you. One album isn’t syncing to my Pixel 7. The album appears in MediaMonkey’s library, and I can see and play the files from the album, but it’s not syncing. The album’s folder exists on my hard drive, but there are no music files inside it. See pics. I’ve tried adding and rescanning files to the library, and I’ve also attempted to locate any moved or missing files, but I still can’t find or sync the album. Can anyone help me figure out this issue?

Re: Selective Sync Feature
I would start by looking at the properties of those tracks and determine where MM has found them to play them - ie their "Path" info.
Then you could possibly auto-organize them to fit your folder structure. You can also just drag them using windows explorer into the desired folder while MM is open minimized, and as long as monitor continuously is enabled, it should adjust the database when you do that.
This should fix the empty folder issue. I am not sure it would help with why they won't sync, as it should not matter where they are stored on your PC.

Using V2024 LATEST alpha or beta build on Windows 11, HP laptop, managing 13k tracks
Re: Selective Sync Feature
If the Album Artist is available in the Folder or Filenames, you can use Tag from Filename.
Otherwise you can try Auto-Tag or copy Artist to Album Artist (won't work for compilations, or with featured Artists) using Copy and Swap Fields.
