Can't able to launch MediaMonkey!

Hello,
I have installed
MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.1.0.3106 Beta on top of
MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.0.0.3082.
I am not using debug build.
For some strange reasons, when I try to launch MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.1.0.3106, it flailed to launch the application. I have restarted my windows several time. But it was still the same.
Until now, I was able to install beta version of MediaMonkey and launch the application without any issue. This is my first such encounter.
I had to UNINSTALL
MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.1.0.3106 Beta and install
MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.0.0.3082. I was able to launch the application as per normal.
What could be the issue? What has changed between 3082 to 3106 ? Can this be fixed in the next beta build?

Hi,
In out internal tests there was no issues on upgrading can you please make debug log using descriptions at
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643 as non debug version do not collect issues and in order to find and fix issues we need debug logs and basic system information alongside of failed start screenshots (if possible).
As soon as we have enough info we can immediately work on fix.
HINT: You can install 3106 as portable to separate folder and see if it starts normally as it will not interfere with your 3082 installation.

Thanks for the reply. I have even tested both debug version of
MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.1.0.3104 Beta and
MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.1.0.3106 Beta, for some strange reason, when launching the application, it is stuck as the splash screen. I have even tired portable. It is still the same.
I have to uninstall both of them and reinstall
MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.0.0.3082. Which works without any issue.
So something underlying has changed in the newer builds.
I am on Windows 10 1809 LTSC.
I hope you would be able to fix this issue.

Hi,
Please make Debug log using portable MM version of 3106 as it should show us where things stopped to work.
"Windows 10 1809 LTSC" Very old version, but from my experience one of fastest versions of Win 10. Is it x86 or X64? (Log file should show us more info anyway)

Yes, indeed "Windows 10 1809 LTSC" is an old version of Win 10. And it is the fastest and the most stable version of Win 10 with no nonsense and no bs. It is x64. It is my main system for system for several years.

No. My internet is working as per normal.
I am currently using MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.0.0.3082 without any issue. It is able to check and download for add-on updates (If any) without any problem.

I am using DNS filtering for my overall network level. Is there any particular domain that I should add whitelist?
Interestingly, when trying to launch MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.1.0.3106 Beta (Portable), the application DID NOT trigger my local firewall app to ask for connection. But it could not even launch in the first place.
Usually any app trying to access the internet would trigger my local firewall app to ask "Allow" or "Deny".
My main question is, why I am able to launch and use MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.0.0.3082 without any issue?

Probably you already have some FW rules for MediaMonkey. Check them.
EDIT: another difference could be we're using new signing certificate since build 3106

I have always allowed MM to access the internet to get updates.
I have install latest and new windows apps from different developers and vendors on Windows on Windows 10 1809 LTSC without any issues.
This is very strange.
Hope it can be resolved.

Just to add, I have Notion installed.
They are using the latest Cert as of Feb 7 2025.
I don't think signing certificate could an issue?
