My playlists were grouped and organized under different folders in iTunes. I used MMW to import the playlists (File > Add/Rescan Files from the main menu) from iTunes, and then used MMW to copy the selected playlists and their associated music files to my Galaxy phone. All the tracks and the playlists were successfully imported on both the desktop and the phone. MMA displays all music files in the "Music" view as expected, but it also shows the tracks in the "Playlists" section after it displays the playlists. Is there a setting in MMA to hide the songs themselves while keeping only the playlists visible under each folder?
For example, under the the folder "Rock", I have 5 separate playlists for "70s Rock", "80s Rock" etc. When I open the folder, I see those 5 playlists, and if I open each playlists I can see the songs. But then after the playlist, I see all the 900 songs in that folder, which is included in those playlists. The full list of all tracks is cluttering the view - I only want to see them when I open each playlist. I don't want to see them under each folder.

Are you talking about nested Playlists?

Re: Need to hide tracks in playlist folders
Hi,
We are unable to replicate no matter how we tried.
Can you please confirm that we are testing it correctly.
1. I created Playlist "Rock" and added few rock tracks from 00s
2. Under that playlist created three Auto-playlists 70s, 80s, 90s with criteria Year according to decades to filter those tracks.
3. connected Phone to USB
4. navigated playlists -> MMW -> Selected Rock -> Send To Sync Device
5. Checked MMA playlists and I had Rock Playlist with added tracks
6. Unplugged phone
7. in MMW selected Rock playlist and all sub playlists for sync
8. in MMA used ☰ -> Sync Now
9. Now Rock Playlist contained all same few tracks and also had 3 sub playlists 70s, 80s, 90s with their respective tracks.
10. Converted Rock playlist to Rock Auto-Playlist with Criteria Playlist and selected sub playlists 70s, 80s, 90s and selelected tit for sync
11. in MMA used ☰ -> Sync Now to sync phone again
12. Now Rock Playlist contained all tracks from playlists 70s, 80s, 90s
Can you please let us know what we are missing?
EDIT: I tested with MM 3082, 3113, 3154 and few other random builds. No way to replicate what you describe.

Re: Need to hide tracks in playlist folders [#21369]
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
I was able to replicate the problem of iTunes nested playlists importing incorrectly into MMW. This is tracked at https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=21639 .
This is exacerbated by a couple of related bugs in MMA:
https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=21640 - nested synced playlists aren't edited correctly in MMA
https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=21641 - Android auto fails to display synced nested playlists containing a mix of tracks and child playlists
Thanks again for the detailed information you provided to help me replicate these issues.
