Many companies are moving to this format (Netflix, Audible).
My audiobooks downloaded from Audible will no longer play in MediaMonkey until support for this format/codec is implemented.
Thank you for all of your work improving the lives of MediaMonkey users!

Hi,
Can you open support Ticket and supply us with DL link for single AudioBook in order that we can analyze what is missing and what we can do because xHE-AAC / USAC is covered by separate license?

Hi,
The file is definitely in USAC format, we do not have decoder for this format (Which appears it is not free for developers to implement decoder), it is quite new with poor support across many many players.
We will investigate this in Future MM versions, due the lack of quick solution.

Thank you for looking into this!
Doesn't MM make use of FFMPEG?
Their update from 09/30/2024 for the 7.1 release says:
Support has been added for a native AAC USAC (part of the xHE-AAC coding system) decoder, with the format starting to be adopted by streaming websites, due to its extensive volume normalization metadata.
