for the past several years Media Monkey always crashes at least once when i watch music videos. makes it hard to relax on the couch under my weighted blanket when i have to get up and spend 10 mins babysitting the program through the error messages and force closing all the instances that loads when i try to reopen it. it does nothing and i have to close out all instances from all the times i click on it to open. only to have it crash again a few songs later. i rarely watch music videos anymore because of the inconvenience. I decided tonight to watch music videos again and of course it crashes twice. forcing me to reboot the whole computer just to get it to work again. and then it crashes again so now i'm stuck with a frozen startup screen as i type this. and yes i just installed the newest version a few hours ago.

Please make screenshot (take a picture of it from couch) of an Error or Install Debug version that will save and send crash log in MM settings folder that will tell us what is happening.

Ok so I'm tired and fatigued, i have health issues, and put music videos on and got on the couch under my weighted blanket and all relaxed and then it crashes and leaves me with a blank screen. hard to click the error message buttons with the pointer goes behind the window. I only got to watch about 4 videos before it crashed. I give up .

also after crashing most of the time i lose the bottom window pane and the right one. then i have to go in the settings and fix it. this time i lost the left and bottom window pane.

Are you using any 3rd party plugins ? Any COM based plugins ?

I have Monkey Mote, Black Smith skin, Code Monkey Skin, Show Links, and Lyric Source Genius that doesn't work and gives an error message when looking up lyrics so i have to click the find lyrics button a second time to find them.

I haven't figured out how ot use Show links.

I think the crashing is related to MonkeyMote plugin ... will check.

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you experiencing this with?

I even reinstalled and still keep getting the same error

Can you please try with the latest 2024.2 beta? Does the issue persist.

Note that this specific bug (https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=21845) has already been fixed in the most recent 2024.2.0.3173 / 3174 prerelease builds.
