Re: Silence Between Songs v3.0 [MM3] updated 2010-12-26
Just installed v3.0 in 4.0.7.1511 MM pro.
I followed the directions and this too
o prevent songs from ending prematurely, disable "Remove silence" in MM Output plugin:
- Tools > Options > Player > Output Plugins -> MediaMonkey DirectSound output > Configure
- Disable: [ ] "Remove silence at beginning / end of track"
The problem is that so far, in shuffle play in a playlist, every other song is skipped.
I re-read the topic for this script and don't see a solution posted for this problem. Are others experiencing this, and is there a fix?
Thanks.

Simple work around, turn on continuous and make sure playlist has odd number of songs in it. This will cause all to play by it changing to the odd numbers of songs when it finishes playing the been numbered songs.

This solved my problem prefectly! Thank you!

You can download it at http://www.mediafire.com/file/gkh81xfxy ... ngs31.mmip
Please note that this is for MM4 only.
There is a new option called "STOP HERE".
Rename any song to "STOP HERE" (likely a short one) and the playlist wil stop at the next song after STOP HERE.
Very handy in cases you want to pause at a specific point in the playlist.
You can change the name "STOP HERE" in the options.

I wanted to implement some extra features such as Single/Continuous as found on professional CD players and I wanted to have the silence before instead of after the song. I ended up with an almost completely rewritten code.

I downloaded and tried V3 and while it does create the pause between songs, it then skips the following song, so it will play every other song.

Silence between songs
Hi everyone,
I use MM as a DJ and I installed "silence between songs" to separate each song with two seconds of silence.
In some cases, however, MM applies a longer pause and I do not understand what it depends on.
If I look at the status bar at the bottom of MM I notice that the progression from 2 to 1 (in seconds) of "silence between songs" seems to be frozen/interrupted by some MM feature that I do not know.
Any ideas on how to remedy this problem?
Thank you very much.
Ian

Re: Silence between songs
Thank you very much for the information.
Unfortunately the problem persists and I find a considerable delay of MM in applying "SBS" (sometimes up to 7 seconds).
I have restored the function "Remove silence at the beginning/end of track" otherwise the waiting times become even longer. What I notice, while "SBS" displays the count from 2 to 1 (I set a two-second pause), is the lengthening of the response time of that function, as if it were inhibited by some other MM process in the background.

Re: Silence between songs
Try another output plugin and be sure to disable "Crossfade tracks".
Don't forget: always restart MM4 after each change.

Error #424 using Silence Between Songs
Hi everyone,
Since last year I installed the script "silence between songs" version 3.1 and sometimes MM displays an error message number 424 specifying:
Error #424 - Microsoft VBScript runtime error Object required: "GapProgress"
File: "C:\Users\682291\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Script\Auto\SilenceBetweenSongs.vbs", Line: 174, Column: 7.
I'm not a vb/vbs programmer, but by opening the script with Pspad I can't understand why the object is missing; the gap is correctly indicated in the appropriate window of SBS and I find at line 174 column 7 the following string: GapProgress.Text="Gap " & SilenceTime - GapProgress.Value & " seconds."
After the above mentioned warning MM and SBS seem to work fine, but I would prefer to avoid this kind of warning.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
Ian
