No mp3 gain playback?

My apologies as I did do a search for this topic and even though found some posts on it, I could not find anything specific.

I've been using version 3 forever and thought I should probably upgrade. I know that my older media monkey did in fact read those ape tags used with mp3 gain but it doesn't seem to be working at all in this version.

I know I can analyze tracks and level with Media Monkey but I'm really not thinking that I want to do that.

I've looked in options to see if there was something I missed but I never seen anything obvious.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure but i think mm 4 is changed to not read mp3 gain, as mm i think has a better leveling engine now, im going to suggest that you use mm's anaylize feature and just anayylize both track and album volume, that will not change your song only what mm plays the vol back at for the songs,. See if that does a better job for you. Let us know back here one way ot the other, 8)

According to the help: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... erties/4.0

MM does read volume leveling coefficients for APE files. If you have a problem with a specific file I suggest you send it to MM support.

Dunno if this works for 3 but this is how I fixed it for 4.

Under the "Play" menu, uncheck "Level playback volume".
