Hi all.
I don't know if I'm in the right section but.....

Now that AudioGalaxy has ceased operations, can anyone tell me if I can stream my 1TB collection of music consisting of various file types from MM to my iPhone 4?

If it cannot be done can anyone recommend a good music streamer that recognizes different file types like .ape and ogg vorbis etc. I tried subsonic and while good I disabled and removed Java from my system due to all the security holes in it so it won't work without Java.

MM recognizes more file types than any other media player I've ever used so I'm really hoping I can use it to stream too.

Can you use shoutcast with iphone4?

You can, but you will need an app where you can put an address in. I've used the app "media:connect" successfully in the past with my iPhone.

You will also need to allow port forwarding through your router and you may want to set up dynamic dns if you don't have a static ip address.

Are you replying to me about streaming via MM or roving cowboy about Shoutcast?

I have d/l media:connect to my iphone and I see it includes shoutcast so I'm going to do some searching to find out about it.

I'm talking about streaming music from home remotely to your iPhone.

My question was to you, and nohitter151 confirmed it and answered how to use it for you.
Thats one thing we do here is we all try to help the original poster with any info possible, its what makes this the best style of support forum around, Help from all members whom ever knows all or part of the answer or a work around.
