Change font/background - background not in some windows

Hi all,
This is probably a terribly newbie mistake. Apologies in advance. I am editing the Zune skin to make the background of the Tree Bar black, putting a black image with a pattern in the main list area and changing the font to white. Managed to do that OK however, whenever I open other windows, such as the Tools\Options window, or the auto-organise window the background is white and so is the font - you can't see the font unless you hold your mouse over it. I can't seem to find a way of making the background of other windows black, or making the font in only those windows black.
The white background used in other windows doesn't seem to be a bmp in the skin folder. Not sure what to do and would appreciate a bit of advice. Thanks.
