UPnP/DLNA access denied message

Post by mediamonkeychick »

Hello all,

I have just acquired a new Samsung Galaxy tablet running Android 4.4.2.

I have MM Mobile (Beta) 1.0.5.0259 installed on the tablet and MM 4.1.1.1703 installed on the windows 8 laptop.

I have wirelessly connected successfully to our Android phones using MM mobile beta and the same MM on the laptop and UPnP/DLNA. However with this tablet, I am unable to set up a connection. The library is seen by the device but when I tap to access it, the message comes up "Access Denied".

I must be missing something. Can anyone advise me on how to make this work please?

Many thanks,'

Ellie

Make sure it is allowed to access under Tools > Options > Media Sharing in MMW.

Thanks Lowlander.

I don't see it listed there. It is not in the listed devices. But I have checked 'share automatically with all new devices." When I first tried to connect it asked me to give permission, which I did. But it has never connected, even when I did that.

By MMW I think you mean MM Windows? If so, then that is the reply.

No. I didn't need that for my other devices. Why would I need it for this new one?

I'll try it when i get home.

I'm not certain if it's needed, but it's worth a try.
