M3U Playlist Locations (Missing?)

I am using the most current version of MMA Beta.
I am running an HTC M8 with KK 4.4.2.
I sync a few of my playlists to the internal storage and a few playlists to my SDCard.

I know MMA uses its own internal filesystem for storage and management of playlists and so does not fundamentally require the use of M3U files. However, there are times I would like to use other apps to play music/playlists I have imported using MMA.

I see that the music I am syncing to my internal storage gets represented by a M3U file which appears in the android "Playlists" folder. However, for all of the music that i sync to my SDcard, I cannot find the location of the playlists.

Is this a known issue? Am I just not seeing them?

Thanks,
John

Check in your Device Profile in MMW where you've set Playlists to be synced.

This would be an option I need to change from my PC, not my phone, correct?

Yes, that you access in MMW. The Device Profile has many more options available than the settings in MMA. I just checked on my device and they were in the Playlists folder on the external card as per Device Profile settings.

I checked my device profile and it is definitely set to sync playlists.
The playlists are syncing properly to internal storage but not to the SD card.

Are you doing a wifi or USB sync?

Then if they're not in the folder set in the Device Profile you can send a debug log from MMA (from About screen) right after sync completes.

MMA is not even putting a folder on my SDCard called "Playlists".
It appears that MMA is not making the folder and then not populating it with lists.

On the internal storage the "Playlist" folder contains the lists I have synced to internal memory.

I will try to send the log after sync.

The default music player of the phone is moving and converting the m3us to its own format when or if you ever use the default player. I am now using the same directory path on my phone as on my computer, and I export the playlist to a folder on the computer and only sync the music to the SD card. Then I change the m3u lists to txt files and edit out the drive letter on the computer, then save it and change it back to the m3u finally I use the Explorer and the USB to paste the Playlists into the folder on the SD card. As you can tell I sync once in 6 months or less. Because of all the time it takes me to sync. 8)

@rovingcowboy Wow, that's pretty intense!
I was under the impression that MMA would populate m3u playlists on its own during sync and I wouldn't have to jump through all those hoops! I really don't think any other program is converting things since there are no playlists or anything which remotely resembles a Playlist on the SD card.

Well I didn't want to do this much either. But when I found the default player on this galaxy note2 was doing that to my lists I just gave up and did the hard way.
