Hi,
I'm new to MediaMonkey. I have noticed that most of my album tracks are duplicated. Completely unnecessary. Can anyone help me or do I have to delete duplicates one at a time. That's probably 3 weeks work! Many thanks

Bruce

Looking at the media tree on the left there will be a branch called files to edit. Inside of that there should be a section for duplicates. This should help.
There is no silver bullet for this as there are several reasons for dup tracks. Songs in multiple albums (most early stones albums had dup tracks), albums in multiple directories etc. Including naming not quite the same.
There is also an add on to help with this. But I believe that at the end of the day you have to decide which to get rid of and then press the kill button

Well, according to me in my opinion Duplicate Files Deleter is the best because I am still using it now for more than 3 years & will continue to do so as it is so user friendly, simple to use & you can do anything with it & I would definitely recommend it to everyone out there who wants to sort/manage/delete any of their duplicate files & you can choose to delete any files you don't want across all platforms just like myself who have been using this amazing software without any problems. Also it supports all file extensions out there. But please backup important files first. Please use it to believe me & I am being serious here.
