Alternative to my smart playlist usage ?

Hi,

Since several years i'm using the comment field to create smart playlist :

For instance :

plcool
plspeed
pltest
pldemo
pltext
plme
etc

I choose the comment field because it is also used by a lot of player (kodi) but when i need to bulk edit tracks, i can't change only one keyword without changing others :

For instance, i can have a track with this comment filed :

plcool pltest plme

I know that classifications tags (humor, etc..) are adapted to that but it is mediamonkey created an used only, isn't it ?

Do you know an alternative which could be useful for me and with which i could bulk edit tags more easily ?

Thanks

Classification fields aren't MediaMonkey only. Other software may also support these fields.

It sounds like you want to append info the existing values. You may find that RegExp Find & Fix is able to do this: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... lit=regexp

Do you have a reference about these fields ? Is "classifications" the official name ?

So, the official names are : Tempo, occasion and mood, and only this last is officialy supported by id3.

A quick google search and i found a topic about that on Kodi forum :

http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=29764

A Kodi develloper say that using the comment filed is the easier way, so i think i will continue this way :)

And i tried RegExp Find & Fix, it is exactly what i need :) Thanks a lot :)

Hi,
It is wrong approach and can be used as workaround not as correct implementation.

It is matter of choice and that is why MMW have its edge due the scalability and explansions.
