If I try to add files from a specific directory to the library, I get a progressbar that never ends:

As you can see, there is a difference from 16 track which never goes away (even after more then 2 hours of waiting).
MediaMonkey produces a high CPU % number and can't be closed. If I try to close it, I see a message box with something like "Do you like to terminate running background processes". Pressing Yes or No doesn't make any difference, MM doesn't exit.

How can I find this 16 tracks?
How can I prevent this never ending progressbar?

The first number indicates the files added to the Library, the second number indicates all files (any type) found in the scanned directories. So the difference is not the problem.

Scanning can hang on corrupted files (often corrupt tags in file). Are you seeing this on MediaMonkey 4.1.9?

Yes, MediaMonkey v4.1.9.1764.

How can I find this tracks/files?
Is there any log or other source where I can identify them?

Smaller scan selections can help narrow things down, but will be more work on your part.

Good idea, but with over 12'000 subdirectories in the above \VARIOUS ARTISTS directory this will never end too.

I solved it this way:
a) Deleted all tracks with path VARIOUS ARTISTS from the library (only from the library! )
b) Re-scanned and added all this tracks from scratch from the external harddisk
Took several hours...

The 'never ending progressbar' is gone.

Strange, very strange.
