Help with file start and stop time

Post by Musichead2468 »

When I go to edit a file and go to details. I go to Edit start time and stop time and edit it. It applys when listening on the mediamonkey brogram but not when I listen to it on my mp3 player after transfering the file to it. Why won't it also apply the new stop and start time to my mp3 player?

Because it would need to support the tag which most players probably don't, I'm also not sure if MediaMonkey writes it in the first place as it's not listed: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... erties/4.0

Where does it say about start and stop time on the chart?

I just tried setting the start time on a track in MM then imported that track into another installation of MM on another machine and it did not read the start time so I'm convinced that the tag isn't written. I'm not sure the tag is even commonly adopted. It was available in ID3v1 but I can't find any mention of it in ID3v2.
