win 10 driver

have windows 10, mediamonkey no-skin, USB CD/DVD ROM, every time I start MM it corrupts the driver so that the computer no longer sees the CD player

Can you please let us know model of your External CD-Rom?
Also try to Edit MediaMonkey.ini and change ReadCDText value from 1 to 0 for all the drives due the possible relations to https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=14605
Also make sure that no CDs are in drive when you start MMW.
