GPM sync performance seriously degraded [#16128]

This image shows two first GPM syncs of a similar GPM & MM library:
- both syncs had the same options; Scan and only include contents that matches
- the top one was with the MM5 version of 1st September this year ... it took 6:39
- the bottom one was with version 2213 ... it took 1:45:15
- also the log report that it produced is missing all info
I turned on the debug logger when i came back after an hour and a half, and it was still running ... I PM'd the log to you.

As per the Mantis report, I confirm that an empty playing queue works around the performance degradation.
The Scan log is
still appears to be broken ... not that it was any use in its previous state ... too much detail; no actionable information.

Re the scan log being broken: This will be also fixed in 2215+
