testing MM5 on my surface go tablet windows 10 v 20H 2

been testing since the alpha builds

loaded in the most recent build 2275 as a portable installation along side the prior build 2274

in 2275 having an issue with the drop box menu options when selecting

the menu options aren't scaling and are being cropped I think the menu options are there, just not visible

works great in the prior version, Here are the screen shots

Does restart help? If no please backup persistent.json -> then delete it and start MM5 again to see if that fixes the problem? if yes, restore persistent.json from backup and try to replicate again. Finally if you can again replicate with backed persistent.json please open support ticket and send it to us for analyze.

restarting and deleting the json files did not fix, same issues
opened a support ticket with a copy of the file as requested

For what it's worth, I just checked mine and even checked all the skins, but I wasn't able to reproduce it.

Switching the "Windows DPI Settings" to 100% helped in my case.

changing the default font size from 150% to 100% did appear to fix the problem with MM5 build 2275. However, it makes the system almost unusable as the text is way too small


to reiterate: this behavior is just with build 2275 builds 2274 and earlier never exhibited this problem

I am running builds 2274 and 2275 as portable installs simultaneously

Change the font size to 100%, start MM5, switch the font size back to 150% while MM5 still running and the menus will stay intact.

What specific setting are you using to change your text size?

I cannot reproduce on build 2275 with either of these two settings ("Make text bigger" and "Make everything bigger" in this menu):

this was never changed until testing this morning

build 2274 works great with these setting and this problem never happen before in the year I have running this table and evaluating MM5.


interestingly, changing the scaling while running build 2275
'fixes' the problem for the session. however when I restart
MM5 the problem resurfaces

I found out how to replicate. Deleting/renaming my working copy of persistent.json caused the problems to immediately resurface. Reopened issue as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=16913

Petr figured out the issue, but also I found that it wasn't replicable on build 2276 (which was released last night).

Alfred could you see if it works on build 2276?

build 2276 has fixed the issue for me. the menu boxes is no longer being cropped!
