Which exact build and what file type(s)? Also do you have any codecs installed either in MediaMonkey or on you system (and if so, which)?

Hi, try to right click on video and disable subtitles. It should help.

Hi Guys, I also have this problem and I've had it consistently since using mm5.. The weird thing for me is the audio dose not stutter only the video dose... As soon as I stop the video with the player controls and play it again it works perfect without fail. I find that it happens with every 5th or 6th video I play or sometimes every 4th and I've just gotten used to stoping the video and pressing play again. I use 3 different file types Mvk, Mp4 and Web and it seems to happen on all of them. I have brought and installed the codec pack for MM5 and I have installed the LAV Filters .741+... I have tested all the videos in VLC and I never seem to have a problem so I'm just curious if anyone might have an idea what I could be doing wrong.

I think it is the same as issue tracked here: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17077
I can reproduce it with some videos sometimes, but still did not find the reason.

Hi,
Try to right click on playing Video -> Disable Subtitles, it often helps, thus like MiPi said it happens Random and we would like very much if we can get to bottom of it.

I didn't Mention that I have made subtitles disabled and always have had it set to that...I just double checked and it's still set to off following the method given.

If you want me to do anything that could help just let me know and I'll do it.

Another thing I've noticed is that if the video plays choppy it usually comes back good after about 85% of the video has played, not every time but most times..... 🤯 Just trying to provide all the information I can.

How do I tell MM5 to open videos in VLC as I could in MM4?

It is the same - Tools - Options - Player - Use default external videoplayer. You need to have VLC associated as default video player in Windows.

Use default external videoplayer is an option in MM4. It is no longer an option in MM5.

Then set the VCL video player as standard in the Windows-Settings for the videos you want (mp4, avi, ...).
