Hi,

With a track with a significant track volume adjustment in MM there is no change in perceived volume when on an iPhone 7 IOS 14.3 Sound Check is toggled on/off.

Two tracks, one with +13 dB adjustment, and another with -12 dB adjustment, no change in volume when Sound Check toggled on and off. Other tracks checked the same.

This is either an issue with recent MM5 builds or an issue with IOS 14.3 not recognising MM track volume adjustments.

Do tracks play OK on PC and MM5?

If Yes, then I would not be surprised that they changed something again to make for third party apps harder.

Try to temp copy back those two tracks to PC and play to see if GAIN information is available.

Nothing is changed in recent MM5 builds with regard to iOS sync.
Just updating to iOS 14.3 and will do some testing (and get back to you).

Not sure what is going on there, just updated to iOS 14.3 and verified that
MM5 transfers the volume_normalization_energy value just fine during sync

So far it looks that it is rather a regresison in iOS 14.3 update to not taking the values anymore. To be verified.

OK, I should have searched the internet at first to save my time while verifying that MM5 writes the values correctly.

My son has a iPhone running 14.3 and Sound Check is working for him, but he doesn't use MM.

Not sure if this helps:

1. Go to Devices -> Phone -> Music
2. Add Track Volume column to view
3. Track volume column shows -1 Db or 0.0 Db for all entries
4. Sync a track using Send To
5. Track volume column shows correct adjustment values for each track
6. Disconnect iPhone
7. Reconnect and got to Music view on the phone
8. Track volume column now shows all entries as -1 Db or 0.0 Db

Should this view show the correct Track Volume adjustment values?

You seem to be true that
MM5 > Devices -> iPhone -> Music -> Track Volume
shows also incorrect values for me (-1.0 db) -- this visual glitch will be fixed in build 2299 as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17429

But doing the same in MM4 or iTunes shows the correct values + I also verified that the values are correct in the device database (see my previous posts)

maybe this Apple's regression is related only to some iPhone models ? Which model has your son comparing to you?

Some refer to a corrupted database as the source of the problem.
