Hi,
Would it be possible to store a mac address with a permanent /static entry so that I am not prompted every time whether to allow a device (in this case, a TV) access to the server? I never want this device to connect, but am prompted every time I open MM5. I would like to store the mac address in the server list with a static flag for allowed or blocked and suppress the prompt if the mac entry is already maintained in the list.

Once it access the Media Server it should be in the list of Clients and if you have the enabled checkbox disabled it should no longer ask.

Thanks. That worked, but in order to block access, I had to first allow access from the initial prompt using your method. It would be a better user experience to by default (and transparent to the user), to add the entry to the list with the flag unchecked (disabled) from the initial prompt itself in my view. It really isn't intuitive to first allow and then drill into the menus to disable, when it was never desired to be allowed in the first place.

I cannot replicate,
just tested and I have done a clean install of 5.0.0.2299 and accessed it by a single DLNA client.
MM5 asked me whether I want to allow access, I clicked [No]

Gone to Options > Media Sharing > ... and see the entry disabled:

Restarted MM5 and the MAC entry is still there and still disabled.
It never shown the prompt again when accessing by the same client, so it works fine for me.

Couldn't it be that your TV uses more MAC addresses ?

I just did a clean portable install in another folder and I agree with, but I was still able to reproduce with b2299. Do a clean install and select "No" at the prompt. Close out of MM5 and reopen. You will continue to be prompted every time you open MM5 until you go into the specific server menu. It seems that the flag is only being written (or synced) once you enter this menu, not from the prompt.
