Noticed that occasionally the File Properties window glitches after editing too many albums at a time. (been adding all those snazzy Band pics and fixing tags that the overly ambitious MM5 auto tagger wanted to override after install so they'll play nice with how Last.fm says an album is titled) Anyway.... A restart usually fixes it but thought I still might mention it.

Such glitch as not reported earlier and I tried today, but as not being able to replicate.
In case of unknown artifacts and UI glitches, common suggestion is to close MM Rename "persistent.json" -> "1persistent.json" start MM5 and if it is all OK then try to copy (not just rename back) "1persistent.json" to new "persistent.json" and see if issue repeats. If yes then open support ticket with attached "1persistent.json" so taht we can analyze and fix the issue.

Yeah it decided to do it again today, As I said in the op, it's kind of random when it decides to do this. Will upload that file later, want to make sure things are logged out before I do. (noticed Last.fm and such are tied to it after following Peke's directions to rename things)

If I call up the properties with a right click, then usually only a part is displayed. It is then not possible for me to make entries. Only after several attempts are the settings displayed in full.

I have a similar problem - on my machines (with the new 5.0.0.2325) MMW5 completely freezes by callling properties.

Just opened a ticket/bug report as below:

Just installed the 5.0.0.2325 to see if the freezing problems are gone.
Importing new files and optimizing database worked.
BUT:
After import the window saying "xxx files imported , xxx files updated" wasn't to be seemed. It was "transparent" and You only saw the "x" to close it. So I couldn't see or save the log files.

After that I chose one entry, clicked "properties" to see / change the tags - and MMW5 freezed again and I could only kill it by task manager.
I meanwhile installed MMW5 on 2 computers, my workstation AND my high end gaming pc. Same with both.

That's what the log files says (about the freezing why calling "Properties" for an entry/track.

I saw the same behaviour in 5.0.0.2316. I use the debug version, so I hope it was included in one of my debug files (sent appr. 10 per day from different machines).

Does the mis-drawn dialog only occur on those specific occasions that the dialog appears in the wrong location?
Also, can you provide me with the same info I've asked 1001Musik below?

Can you provide some info about your system? Specifically:
- what graphics card/chip is your system using?
- what are your settings for a) 'Change the size of apps and text on the main display' and b) 'Display Resolution' ?

The issue you're reporting sounds like a different problem. Can you:
- Provide the crashlog ID that appears when the error occurs so that we can match the crashlog you submitted to this description?
- Replicate the problem while running dbgview (see step 4b in the bug reporting instructions

You mean the crashlog ID from the automatic bug report from the debug version? Have to wait till it happens again. Right now it is "only" freezing, but sending no bugs (have to kill it using task manager)

Display 1920 x 1080

Some of this in the op but here's a few more specifics

Cyberpower PC
AMD Ryzen 3 2300x quad core 3.5ghz
16gig ram
windows 10 home 1909 (current version of build)

TLC 32" Smart TV FHD, 1920x1080 / Wacom 16" 1920x1080
MM5 2316

And its really random when it decides to glitch out. For me, most of the time its when its where it should be, but I have noticed it appear towards the bottom of the screen every once in awhile.

I tried to find the error earlier. What I notice is that the problem only seems to occur when I mark multiple songs to change the properties. If I click on a single song, there don't seem to be any problems.

The same mistake for me but no matter whether single or multiple songs.
Sometimes the error occurs quite normally, then 2 3 times the error and I cannot make any entries because I cannot get into the correct menu. (Song lyrics)
