I was a big fan of this capability in previous versions.

I generally listen to CDs, utilising the library for backup purposes and ipod playlists.

I would appreciate the development of such features.

I was startled to find this capability was not included. I wanted to share a custom playlist with a friend, and for me this is the most convenient way to do so. Please bring thsi feature back!

FYI: As a workaround I added "Burn CD/DVD using MM4" addon that sents selected files from MM5 to MM4 > Now Playing to be easily burned. You just need to have MM4 installed (to a different folder than MM5 of course -- to be separated).

The addon can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ba23vz2ki08kf ... .mmip?dl=0

It is still being worked on, details in https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view ... 807#c63642

I have an older car which supports MP3 playback but doesn't offer a random option.

I loved being able to generate a random playlist from my collection and burning that list to CDs for use in my car.
Once I believe to remember the playlist, I merely erase the CD and burn another set.

It would be nice to have this ability again.

You can use <Random> in front of the filename to get random sorting of a filelist. This applies to MediaMonkey 4 too which can be used to burn.

Was there actually a poll? I appear to have missed it. I vote YES retain CD burning capability. Burning a CD is not an antiquated activity.

Any idea if the CD burning feature is still being worked on for MM5? Just received an update for it but still came up empty on the CD burning feature

Although I realize there are many software packages available to burn Music CDs, but having been a user of Media Monkey for quite a number of years, I really miss the opportunity to create MP3/CD/Thumb Drive from my library. I can easily mix many types of music/audio to use on long drives in my car. Why should I have such a sophisticated package as Media Monkey and have to turn to yet another package to get selections from my library onto one of these mediums. Why was it omitted? I need it back. AND, I need it to write the selections in the sequence selected, not alphabetically or numerically.

You can create Thumb Drive in MM5 very easily. if your thumb drive is not found and enabled under "Devices and Services -> Devices-> Show all devices" then you can setup your own by selecting Devices and Services -> Under Services use [+] to create sync to Local folder. Re Burn, if you install latest MM5 from https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 86639&sd=d and have latest MM4 then you can send selected tracks to MM4 for burning.

I am a DJ on my Public Radio Station and always burn my program playlist to CD! So now I have to maintain MM4 AND MM5 for this one (to me) critical function! Surely it can't be difficult to put this back or have a 3rd-paty script add-on
