My speakers seem to work okay... on everything but MM.
I really don't know what precipitated this, but one day my speakers stopped working all together.
I plugged my headphones into my speaker output and no sound.
So, I started playing with the settings. And... there are a lot of settings.
But eventually I fixed it... all was well.
Then I tried to play Media Monkey... no sound.
Everything seems to work except MM.
All this was over a year ago.
Now I'd really like to play MM.
If it makes any difference, I have Harmon Kardon plastic see-through speakers.
I only have left right stereo with a base. No surround sound.
Thanks.

You may have to change the Audio Device MediaMonkey is set to use in the output plugin you have enabled: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... ing_Output

Re: Lost Playback Sound
I guess I've given up ever using MM again.
I can't get my speakers to play MM music on MM4 or MM5.
It plays on everything else... Windows Media Player, YouTube, etc.
Question: If I uninstall both MM4 and MM5 and reinstall MM5, is there any chance that this will fix my problem?
Also, under MM5, I have no "Options" under "Tools".
Thanks.

Re: Lost Playback Sound
MM4 and MM5 run independently.
Does MM4 have Tools>Options?
Tools>Options is a fundamental part of MM. If it is absent: Reinstallation.
This menu MUST be present.
If another program is using the speakers in exclusive mode, no other program can use them simultaniously.
Are your speakers those, connected with Bluetooth?

Re: Lost Playback Sound
It's likely that the wrong output device is selected. Did you check the Volume as outlined: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... corrupted/
In MediaMonkey 5 there definitely is Options under Tools in the Main Menu. In MM4 there is another Tools that isn't the Main Menu, but this isn't the case in MM5.

Maybe, just maybe, I lost my sound when I installed MM5. Not sure, it's been a while.
Should I uninstall it... I really don't like it.

I did every step in the list. Although, I really didn't know what I was doing.Lowlander wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 9:50 am It's likely that the wrong output device is selected. Did you check the Volume as outlined: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... corrupted/

Re: Lost Playback Sound
Maybe you set the Main Menu to be hidden. In that case you should see the hamburger (3 horizontal lines) icon at the left top of MediaMonkey. It will open the Main Menu when clicked.
